If you do dive into the advanced tab, don't overlook that modulation section where you'll find two LFOs, two function generators, two random generators and you can customize things like aftertouch and velocity effects. Here you can freely choose your four different layers of synths and samples, customize your filter selection and the effects, and even add complex modulation. But there is a lot of power to be found under the hood. Here still, the UI is clean, easy to navigate and unintimidating. Morphing the layers while adjusting the reverb and delay levels can quickly turn a basic string arpeggio sequence into a complex and exciting piece of music. The instrument features seven additional macro knobs for adjusting the built-in effects and their parameters. However, the versatility doesn’t stop there. I experimented with this feature a lot and was amazed by how quickly the Augmented Strings Intro transforms from an intimate string solo into a wide and lush cinematic ensemble. I love how you can quickly morph the sound by adjusting the balance between the two layers. Each layer can hold up to two sound sources.
